Many of us long for greater closeness with the Lord. We may want a greater sense of his presence in our lives. Or a more meaningful prayer life. Or discernment about a particular issue or struggle we’re facing.
Spiritual direction is an ancient practice that may help. It involves meeting regularly with a “spiritual director,” someone trained to serve as your companion in cultivating a greater awareness of God’s presence and activity in your life. The spiritual director does this by helping you direct your attention to the true Spiritual Director—the Holy Spirit.
My Inner Life is the spiritual direction ministry of the Rev. David Brannen. David is a retired Anglican minister who has been formally trained in the practice of spiritual direction. He has a heart for helping others discover how spiritual direction can enrich their lives and deepen their relationship with the Lord.
